Musea : Intentional Creativity Museum has a wonderful lineup of museum events planned for July, August and September both in our virtual museum and in person at Musea Center – our Museum and University location in Sonoma, California.

We want to thank our incredible community of artists and art-supportors for joining us in-person at Musea, Sonoma for the opening of the Kinship With Creation Solo Exhibit featuring new work from our Curator, Shiloh Sophia. This event marked the grand re-opening of our Sonoma Museum and University location, and was a very special day of celebrating art in community and reconnecting in a physical space.

Virtual Museum Shows & Exhibit Openings

July 21 – The Fabric of a Matriarchal Art Lineage
Salon-style Museum Show
at 4 pm PT

View and hear stories about a few select pieces from the Musea Intentional Creativity Museum’s permanent collection hosted by Co-Founders Shiloh Sophia and Jonathan McCloud. Our community story began in the 1930ies with the art of Lenore Thomas Straus and Eden McCloud. Both women intentionally passed their gifts onto other artists who then passed their gifts onto other artists. The idea of passing images, stories, symbols and philosophies has been a part of our community in a conscious way since 1999, although it started much earlier than that within our own circles. We welcome our members and greater communities to a special salon ‘show and tell’ as well as an invitation to a greater understanding of what we mean by Matriarchal Lineage centering on women’s art.

August 18 – Into the Future Virtual Museum Show and Exhibit Opening at 4 pm PT

Solo Exhibit featuring Unfinished Works from Master Painter and Intentional Creativity Matriarch, Sue Hoya Sellars

Join Curator, Shiloh Sophia, for the unveiling of a special solo exhibit featuring 15 unfinished works from beloved Master Painter, Teacher, and Intentional Creativity Matriarch, Sue Hoya Sellars. Beginning her art career as a biological illustrator, Sue became fascinated and curious about the life that was animating objects she was illustrating. This led to a lifelong inquiry into the nature of consciousness. Her images, pottery, and illustrations reflect this inquiry and the mysterious nature of consciousness inhabiting matter. These works are part of Musea’s Permanent Collection housed at our Musea Center in Sonoma, California.

Note: Museum Members will receive access and do not need to RSVP for tickets to the show.

September 15 – MAKE ME ART Virtual Museum Show and Book Release at 4 pm PT

A special book release featuring the art, photography and writing of Musea Co-Founder, Jonathan McCloud

Join Musea Founders, Shiloh Sophia and Jonathan McCloud for the release of Jonathan’s much anticipated photography book, MAKE ME ART. This is a multimedia book featuring images of art in action, poetry, and mystery! Described by his colleagues as an alchemist, Mr. McCloud co-founded their not-for-profit, the Intentional Creativity Foundation, prepares cuisine for participants around the world with his culinary genius, and creates supper clubs for eccentrics. He is the resident Winemaker for Musette Wines and is celebrating his 4th Season making Barbera in the famous California Carneros. He serves as the Executive Director and CFO of the organizations in the MUSEA constellation of companies and is a current Doctoral Student in Wisdom Studies.

JUNE 20.21.22.23  |  JULY 25.26.27.28  |  AUGUST 22, 23, 24, 25

Do you have a desire to engage with Intentional Creativity Medicine Painting and paint in-person with Curator, Shiloh Sophia? Join us this summer for our PRIMA MATERIA painting retreats at Musea, Sonoma.

Gather under the Redwood trees, in a space made for Intentional Creativity. Come to our living museum. Enjoy nourishing feasts together, curated by Jonathan with our flowing Musette wine. Hear and see illustrated talks from Jonathan and Shiloh and participate with your ideas. Create a portfolio that will serve as a record of your experience of liberation and shaping your own consciousness. Learn how to illustrate your ideas and experiences with watercolor and ink with a metacognitive illustration.

We are calling this place and part of you “a potential for Prima Materia.” You are making contact with your very first matter, your formless form. The “you” before you. As the Artist Alchemist, you will illustrate dynamic ideas, imagery and patterns. This is the ceremony. Your art will be the literal artifact of freeing yourself and your consciousness; the record of the work done.

You are your own magnum opus!

We look forward to an incredible season of making
and celebrating art in community!
