LEARN THE ART OF PAPER CLAY!

Join us for a 2-day LIVE virtual workshop and unleash your Inner Child

Dream into the possibilities of creating with paper clay

Guided by Certified Intentional Creativity Educator

Milagros Suriano-Rivera

April 20th & 21st

10:00 am - 2:00 pm Pacific

The Muse has awakened the Inner Child and invited them to play!

In this 2-day LIVE workshop, Milagros will guide us through the art of shaping clay into a beautiful sacred vessel. Use your vessel on your altar or as decor for your home or studio. The Sacred Vessels Workshop is our precursor to our upcoming Sacred Vessels Museum Exhibit, where you can submit the vessel you create for inclusion in the showcase.

The workshop will be held LIVE via Zoom on April 20th and 21st from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Pacific Time.

This event is for you if you have always wanted to "get your hands dirty" while creating inspiring and impactful 3-dimensional art. Why take this course? Because it's fun and playful! And you will leave with a skill that can be applied to most any facet of artwork.

What You Will Learn

DAY ONE

Our first day together consists of visioning into what will manifest. The vessel you create can be freeform, created from a mold, formed around an object such as a bottle, or a combination of these techniques. Your guide will walk you through:

  • Dreaming into the possibilities of using paper clay
  • The tools and supplies for endless possibilities
  • Creating your intention so that you can embody yourself as a Sacred Vessel
  • Sourcing and designing your sacred vessel
  • Adding marks and embellishments to activate the power of your vessel
  • Active Listening for the whispers of wisdom as you become one with the clay

DAY TWO

After allowing your sacred vessel to dry and harden overnight, Milagros will show us how to beautify and finish our newly created structures:

  • Encountering and connecting through Sacred Writing
  • Integrating: choosing color for integration of the wisdom and embodiment of yourself as sacred vessel through glazing for your vessel
  • Deepening + Dawning to embrace all that you have the capacity to hold as you begin to enhance your vessel
  • Awaken and honor your vessel
  • Illuminate your vessel by adding magic and light
  • Completion and celebration Show and Tell at the end of our day

Learn a New Skill. Use it for a Lifetime!

The benefits of joining us for the Sacred Vessels Workshop reach far beyond these two days. Once you have learned how to manipulate paper clay to create objects, this skill can be used for a lifetime. Add 3-dimensional art into your repetoire as an artist!

  • Create gifts for loved ones.
  • Decorate your home, office, and studio.
  • Offer unique, handcrafted jewelry.

The opportunities are endless!

MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES

The materials and supplies list will be provided upon registration. However, these are simple tools - all of which you most likely already have on hand. Even the paper clay can be made out of household items. Milagros will show you how!

ABOUT YOUR GUIDE

Milagros Suriano-Rivera

I am a multi-media artist and Color of Woman Teacher of Intentional Creativity®. I am also the Director of Membership for MUSEA's Intentional Creativity® Foundation.

My creative journey started years ago when I started making  paper clay jewelry as gifts for my relatives. Later i was introduced to stained glass by my dear friend Ed Moultrie. Then I started making jewelry from the remnants of my other projects mixing paper, paint, and clay.

My vision is to create art intuitively, allowing the art to flow from me in a raw and authentic way. I use various mark making techniques, mediums, and materials infused with intention and heart wisdom to create works from my soul for your soul!  My calling is to impact, impress, and inspire every beloved on my red thread to create their own healing and self expression through art and the Intentional Creativity Approach!
