This Legend painting is my voice, and the voice of Grandmother Moon, reflecting and transmitting the unconditional love of the Creator in the world. She has stepped into her position of leadership, bearing the sigil of Woman Awake in the World on her brow. Spirit Bear and the ancestors in the Aurora Borealis have her back. The 7 pointed star embodies teachings about love, forgiveness, healing, suffering, humility, fear, and holiness.

Grandmother Owl sits at the Cave of My Heart. She carries a drum bearing my own handprint, together with handprints of my Granddaughter, Gracelyn. Like my Muse and Talisman, she is made of stars. She honors what is holy in each of my Beloveds.

I had a true, palpable, sensation of all that I have wanted to create over the years PLOP into place within my being in a way I have never felt before – really, truly. For me this is priceless as I could never understand how I had endless ideas, knew what I was talking about and saw the frameworks within me very clearly and then couldn’t quite form it. There was an element of perhaps not wanting to harness it, OR also that SHE is A LOT to harness – and I learned tons from Shiloh talking about how she had to focus it and choose to do just that. Just another layer of seeing embodiment within myself, and another layer of being able to explain the whole process of embodiment to others! Just wow wow – while I loved them all, this was probably one of my favourite paintings to do.

I am evolving into loving presence, leaving leaves to change my blood, singing to the feminine of holy mother, to the ancestor of the divine within. I embrace the song of kindness and the truth of being one, I become the one creator, choosing love above it all

In painting a visionary template for life in my journey around the Alchemical Compass, my heart has found peace and healing. New growth is honored, as it reflects the oneness of all life, and everything now is viewed as sacred.

She dreams of wild horses riding roughshod across the sky at night, their manes aflame with with burning desire and passion in their hearts. She whispers to them of secrets they had long forgotten as their heated breath steams up the air snorting for some scent of hearth and home. Some longing for a sense of place and belonging at one specific point in time. But the wisps of remembrance stream out in unkempt ribbons and waves of stories refusing to be tamed or tethered. Crashing onto the shore of morning, when she wakes with a feint thundering in her heart and dew stains on her pillow

scenario that shows the dawn of our presence on earth, our coexistence with all living beings on the planet. Initially it
presented itself as a metamorphic being with an emerald-colored skin, materially bringing me to merge in that unknown
landscape, populated by primordial beings, dinosaurs, birds, reptiles, in a lush forest, where hidden among intricate
branches, in a natural bed, you find the text of the ancient animations, of the first animations on earth, the text revealed
ancient visions, messages that cross the ages so ancient, and so current, under the layers of the paint, there are ancient
seals, messages. Once through the magical portal, alchemy has a way of manifesting itself, liquid elements that become
lights and shadows, puffs that create possible scenarios, the book seems to dissolve and transform itself into a visionary
screen, where words, symbols, images, sounds, living, selected merge in a cosmic narrative, a sensory immersion, where
Mother Earth reveals her message, a journey through time, to know who she is, who I am, who we are, our common lineage,
the message for the new foundations of this society, reminding us that Animality is universal, and unites all of us animals
since the time of evolution

I found myself with this painting. It was a deep learning experience for me and took me a long time to paint. I felt I had found out who I was and what my path was to be when painting her.

Everything you want, every gift you bring, every medicine you hold begins and ends with living in alignment with your true self. You serve no one by holding back, by filtering yourself, or by burying your calling deep inside you. It creates trauma in your body temple. STOP! It’s time to honor who you are. Through the painting process of Talisman I was able to integrate several parts of myself and my past which had been fragmented. It shows my brilliant mind (brain) AND my creative emotional self (palette and brush). It honors my mother (necklace) AND my father (spaceship).

The painting which I call “Pusteblume” (the German name for dandelion when it has the seeds you blow) empowered me to embrace my new identity of a professional artist by giving me its message: “I’m safe and free to share my richness with the world”. The flowers and bees symbolize the richness and the dandelion seeds are the sharing. Shortly after finishing “Pusteblume” I launched my art online store!

“What you seek is seeking you” – Rumi…… I am a woman of the forest, a goddess from the earth, and priestess of the universe. I live in the woods with the animals and the wild ones. My gaze is focused, directed, seeking, connecting, discovering and gathering…..”What you seek is seeking you…..”

After years of leaving myself off the to-do list, I’m feeling free to fly, to learn, to shine, and to trust my instincts.

The incredible surprise and teaching of this painting was that owning my Fierceness brought me to the most vulnerable part of myself that was in need of healing, acceptance and complete surrender to embody the Wisdom of my Oracle. She showed me that Fierceness and Vulnerability were not excluding each other, but on the contrary, that the first, when properly owned and acknowledged, was the Sacred guardian of the other, and the Sacred path to self-responsibility.

With her soft gaze she looks with her priestess eyes for what may be revealed. Keeping one eye in reality and one in the unseen worlds, ready to access what is needed at any moment. From the outside she shows her gentle caring nature, listening and tending to others with her shining light and vibrant smile, while keeping her wisdom inside as to not give too much away. She has strong ideas, morals and virtue, she has a voice for the injustice of humans, animals and plants alike. Waiting for the most potent moments to speak the truths that need to be heard.

When she speaks it comes out in song with the sound of ancient times and a direct link to the divine and her ancestors. She speaks for those who have no voice and lights up the world around her.

Telling those who surround her to share their light with the world, we need more light in humanity. Painting her and listening to her story were so freeing and gave me a nudge to put myself out there as an artist!

She is life in all it’s wonder and complexity, open to everything, holding onto nothing, weaving the threads through time and space, she knows that love is the key.

My painting represents the Divine nesting of child, mother and grandmother in the refuge of the Elder’s lap and at the same time represents the three ages as self-birth: external and internal family units.

A powerful shift occurred for me during the Talisman painting process. I found my warrior strength again and could not back away from this portal that suddenly bust opened.

I hit a rocky point in my life midway through the painting. One night restless night about 4am I woke up and went and sat next to my my talisman. A message become abundantly clear — I needed to let go of the person I’ve been, in order to be the person I was meant to become. At that point, I knew I needed to walked forward, into the jungle of the creative realm with my head held a little higher.

“I am the Shining Spark of Infinite Passion through Intimate Presence, Igniting Awakened Remembrance of the Divine Throb of Love that We Are.”
This is my Soul Statement, a sentence I developed to repeat to myself, out loud or silently, as part of my daily morning practice. It’s how I remind myself of what I’m doing here. As this painting developed I began to see her as a manifestation of the Awakened Remembrance part of that statement. Throughout the Color of Woman training I have learned that various images and stories that I’ve carried throughout my life have the capacity as images in my paintings to remind me, and perhaps others as well, of the truth of my Soul Statement. In addition, the image and meaning of the wave in this painting continued to layer as the painting went on. It began as a recognition that being in and around water has been deeply healing for me throughout my life. Underneath that though, the metaphorical recognition of the rising and falling of the waves of everything, in the sea of consciousness, quickly became apparent.

She embodies the alignment with the Divine in her integration of creativity and structure to serve and guide her beloveds, while being open to the creative mysteries yet to unfold. The lion represents her heart of courage to pursue her calling.

In COW, the Artist sits in the North and she brought understanding of how to access my highest self. This painting was early in our lessons, and she came in the form of the mighty oak dryad. Her voice was clear and part of message was, “Know that you are never alone for you stand in a grove with many sacred trees, deeply rooted in a spiritual network ever willing and ready to supply every need.”

She speakes her truthe to us/me: “I am earthen goddess of shadow and light \|\|\| Loved with full source & delight \|\|\| Original betrayal be healed \|\|\| Reclaim sacred sensuality and sexual sovereignty”

It is Alchemist Soulfire Painting, she was born in the shortest time, in deep flow and celebration. She is about freedom to be myself, freedom to love, freedom to stay, freedom to go. I only belong to myself.

‘She Who Sees With Her Heart’s Intuition’ is a painting about following my own unfolding road within. It serves as a reminder to me that I am a woman who has the tools to intentionally turn inward and listen to what is alive in my heart, and that whenever I wish to do so, I may. Sometimes it is important to hold the outside world at bay to provide my inner guidance space and to allow my intuitive eye to see. There is more than one way to see – it is always my choice whether I access my inner vision. I belong to myself, to my heart, to my path. Through the process of painting this piece and through my Color of Woman journey, I have realised that at this stage in my life I have the experience to walk alongside others as they navigate their own rites of passage and life stages, and I wish to support them to see with their own inner vision when they can’t make out the road ahead. As a guardian of the heart’s inner path, I am called to guide and stand beside others along their way. Conscious navigation of rites of passage sets my heart alight.

I had been seeking and pondering the restoration of my lost Soul for some time, and the process of Talisman brought all of the missing pieces together both emotionally and literally as in the meditation they were represented by a strand of pearls, many decades broken and forgotten in a drawer. During the Talisman process, the actual pearls were being restrung as my Soul pearls were rejoining my psyche. I didn’t realize the physical connection to the painting until I was finished and the restrung pearls were returned to me by a young friend who lovingly restrung them.

Through painting Soulfire I experienced space consciousness. At will I am able to be present to everything but nothing in particular, this allows the unknown in relationship to manifest. Her words are best at conveying this aspect of my being….
She rises from the unknown,

I am She is the Soulfire painting, and she reminds me when I connect to sources of energy, the dolphins and crystals, I am able to bring the light of the Divine Feminine to expression, letting it flow through me like through a hollow bone.

I AM Supported is a creative visual collage of ideas, dreams, existence and environment. It holds the many things that have and do support me throughout my journey. My creative journey has led me to Color of Woman and this painting is the visual journey that led me towards creativity. The images that speak to me through written word, the world around me and the paths I have taken to get here.

Lady Veritas tells me the truth will set me free..
My Soul knows the way. I contain Divine Wisdom and what I need to know will be revealed to me at the exact right time. Here is the poem that came through upon her completion.

She is truth speaker, crypt keeper, shiner of the light and revealer of underground things. She is steadfast and strong. Invincible and clear. Dancer of desire with fire as her friend.

Do not say what is untrue. She will see right through you. The result is your own demise. She is awakened. Untainted. Brilliant and free. Waiting for nobody. Traversing the world’s. Between good and bad. Inner and outer. Above and below.

She sees what other’s need. Hears what deaf ears try to eliminate. Sees what is being revealed. Feels into the Heart of Humanity.

Through dark and lonely times, hope and inspiration rise and transmute into an arial path of freedom. Ladybugs, butterflies and bird feathers enlighten thoughts and create new languages of Levity.

Liberated Mystic was born from my deep desire to help heal the divine feminine within me and on all of earth’s flora, fauna and human children. The red thread pulled me from the bottle and up the stairs to a circle of dancing and singing community members. Goddess holds Mother Earth for me as my tears replenish her seas. My wounds help to heal others, my lived experiences are my strength.

She didn’t want to be pretty. She wanted to speak out about the injustices she was seeing. I discovered that France actually gave the US the statue to commemorate its end of slavery and that it still has a chain on the ankle, so I added her broken chain. She must have love, rest, nature, and a light heart to go on.

The painting and its impact and importance to me in the context of Color of Woman journey is well described by the message that My Muse had for me:

My first key of Awakening ~ Who am I to remain small? The key opens the door to a new reality of potential. I am no longer willing to play small. I am no longer willing to hide my spark. I am no longer hiding in solitude. I am no longer willing to be tightly strung.

You are connected to the heavens and the earth, being supported and guided with love from the Angels and your Guides.
Remember to take time out in nature to be still. Just listening to the birds, the insects and the trees or watching the moon and the stars is medicine for your soul.
It is in this stillness that you can connect with your heart, fully, and you will hear, see and feel the whispers from the Universe.
Your Quirky side is never too far from the surface, ready to spring into playfulness and lighten the heaviness of life.

In this painting I felt much freer allowing the brush to flow and my curve to guide me. The image which has emerged represents the freedom to be female, dancing upon the earth as the ancestors have done before us. While the ancient Mother plays the drum and watches over the children of the future. I am reminded that the beat is felt within my heart.

The core message from this experience came from the old Story of War, violence and sexual abuse, and Unexpressed emotions, especially Fears. the question where I am coming from, brought me to a magical journey of poetry …synchronicities created possibilities in my life to dance and express my old fears and pain…then she started to awaken and speak to me, behind the stories is a Healer being, a Tantra Master, a Goddess.

Sundialia’s Journey: Digging Holes and Catching Fires is my Taliswoman painting from COW 2020. As the title suggests, the painting is about my journey of excavating old stories from my past and transforming them into new positive thoughts. My struggles from my past ultimately became my greatest strengths and led me to my soul work project, creating the Resilient Red Rose Art studios. Becoming an IC teacher, I will help others, especially women to find their own resilient path. I named my Taliswoman painting Sundialia after the sun dial garden I created for her during summer solstice in 2020. The sun dial garden symbolically represents my personal alchemical compass of my COW Journey. Sundialia had worked so hard, endured and overcame many hardships to be where she is today. She is a warrior Queen and has fought many battles often within her own heart. She has two Rose tattoos one red for love and one white for compassion. She is an edge walker and travels between worlds with a big paint brush.

A magical, mystical, healing painting. Revealing in every step along the way something that has been hidden. My Ally the Unicorn. Messages from the past brought into focus and an awareness of the need to be healed. Navigating the waves, heading for calmer waters. Forgiveness, time to heal, time to let go, time to be free! And the crystal pendulum swings…There is no time, past, present, future is all one. Honouring my ancestors, my journey with Color of Woman and future generations. Namaste

Mythos of the Golden Thread represents the deepening of my connection to my soul work, the next stage of the path.
It was my first experience with Intentional Creativity. It brought tears to my eyes that I had discovered a community working with creativity as I had done since I was 16, using it as a medicine, an oracle, a way of seeing and of traversing the realms. It was an enormous leap of faith to launch into Color of Woman having only discovered Shiloh hours before application deadlines, but she was answering my heartfelt call to the universe and with this Legend I knew my call was answered with so much love, integrity and connection.

This image develops out of an inward spiral and words speaking to the elements of Water and Fire. The triangles , an ancient symbol for connection and connectivity manifest as a visual veritas that speaks to my sankalpa (a psychological and philosophical intention) to have joined COW to cultivate meaningful
relationships with women artists.

Reclaiming Innocence was a painting filled with symbols. I will share just a few… A magical imagination monster rises from her head amidst the scattering of feathers. Hidden in plain sight are two paintbrushes to remind her of her passion to create art and three pink roses, given to her by her younger self, as a reminder of her true innocence. Angel wings are tucked in her feathered cap. She is telling me they represent the multiple gifts and talents I came to develop.

This Talisman process reached deep down into the darkest parts of my soul where I stored the stories I was too afraid to let out. On this journey I experienced the most life transforming changes within my heart, soul & psyche. I will be forever grateful to have embarked on my Intentional Creativity journey.

A sweet-talking swallow flies into my art studio, at the same time I am considering raven as a symbol that represents “Vision” for my Talisman painting. She heads for the light but can’t get past the window in the loft, and anxiously circles overhead. I sit down quietly in front of my painting and become still. She rests on a beam, watching me, alert. And as she hears another swallow outside, calling her, she answers with her clear, sweet voice. She feels the wind of the open door, gathers her courage and effortlessly flies out into the big sky. What a gift! When I allow myself to pause, within my busy mind, I can feel the untamed Call and Response of my wild nature expressing herself in joy and freedom. This Medicine Bird, part raven and part swallow, calling to me, “Practice feeling embodied and integrated. Follow your own voice. Feel the breeze beyond your limitations and look to the light. There is always an open door.” And I lift my voice and sing the Spiral Song: “The women are singing a spiral song, a spiral song, a spiral song. Women are singing a spiral song and I feel the call to dance! So dance, dance, dance! I feel the call to dance! Dance, dance dance! I feel the call to dance!”

My Talisman is all about surrendering to the present moment and letting all you do come from the heart. For healing one must go within, and discover what is hidden and see with new clarity. May you go forth in love and change the world.

This is my visionary piece, my Muse with her allies. Each has differently developed senses adapted for what they need in this world. The tree of life reflective of all life on Mother Gaia. We humans need more integration and inclusion with the all of it All.
